About Me
Hi! I’m Dr. Hannah Lukas (she/they). I graduated from Xavier University’s Doctor of Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) program in 2022. I have clinical experience in a variety of settings including a hospital outpatient clinic, university counseling centers, and a group practice.
I genuinely find it to be an honor to build trust with clients to share their inner experiences with me. From the time I began clinical work it has felt incredibly natural and fulfilling. I value deeply listening to clients’ perspectives, being nonjudgmental, and practicing cultural humility. I recognize and work to minimize the inherent power-imbalance within a therapeutic relationship; I view my clients as equally knowledgeable experts on themselves. I believe I learn as much from my clients as they learn from me, and if we work together, just know how much I appreciate the privilege of getting a glimpse into your life and who you are!
A little about me personally
I’m originally from Massachusetts and have appreciated the opportunity to experience different parts of the country before calling Oregon home. I’m having a wonderful time exploring the West Coast. I love hiking and generally being in nature. For more relaxed hobbies I like reading and doing crafts. I have two cats that I adore and they will definitely make appearances in sessions!
As a queer, neurodivergent therapist, I particularly enjoy working with individuals also in these communities. While everyone’s experience is unique, at least for me, it can feel safer to know about some potentially shared identities!
